The Baous
St Jeannet is well protected by the Baous. The word “Baou” is used to name the limestone hills which make the frontier between the littoral and the back side of the country. Right over St Jeannet, the Baou named after the village, is internationally well known…by rock climbers, as it offers a spectacular site for rock climbing. On the east side, the Baou of La Gaude then the Baou of Gattičres, and on the western side, the Baou des noirs and the Baou des blancs form the chain of the Baous.
